We are pleased to announce the launch of our new official WeChat account. Our goal is to provide updated news, events and knowledge articles alongside with our company website. The WeChat account will help new customers to further understand New Island services and also to further engage our existing customers.
We also have plans in the near future to expand more supporting services and applications with our Wechat, giving our customers more options and a better experience.
What is Wechat?
Wechat (called Weixin in China) is China’s version of WhatsApp or LINE. As of Q3 2017, WeChat has achieved 980 million monthly active users (MAU) and numbers are recorded growing at approximately 15.8% year-on year. Monthly social payment transactions increasing at approximately 23%. There are approximately 3.5 million monthly active official WeChat accounts, with 797 million monthly active official account users/subscribers, which showed an annual growth of 14% and 19% respectively.
