Flash Back on Pink Revolution Dress Pink Day

2019.12.12

At New Island, the well-being our community is most important and we continue to look for ways to give back to the community and contribute to positive change. This year is New Island’s first year to support the Pink Revolution initiative as part of the Hong Kong Cancer Fund. On Friday 18th October, all staff were encouraged to dress in PINK to raise awareness and show care for women touched by breast cancer.

The Cancer Fund’s Pink Revolution is a breast cancer education and fundraising campaign that runs yearly in October for a duration of one month. This campaign highlights the importance of breast awareness and encourages women to “Be Smart. Self-Check” for early signs of breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women and ranks 3rd leading causes amongst cancer related deaths for women in Hong Kong. The Cancer Fund offers unique services that aims to help breast cancer patients and their families through the cancer journey from diagnosis, recover treatment and rehabilitation services. There are also free programs and services such as hotline, counselling services, peer-support and recovery packs for women undergoing breast cancer surgery.

New Island is proud to be a part of this initiative.
