New Island supports the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) annual global environmental movement EARTH HOUR. This year Earth Hour will be held on 28th March 2026, 8:30pm – 9:30pm. Please join us. Do it for our beautiful planet.
Earth Hour is a global environmental movement that encourages people to switch off non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness and take action for the planet. Earth Hour aims to highlight the climate and nature crises, encourage sustainable practices and inspire collective action. Beyond turning off lights, it promotes initiatives such as reducing electricity and water consumption, recycling, and environmental volunteering.
Earth Hour is celebrated worldwide, with iconic landmarks participating by turning off their lights. It has become the largest global environmental moment, and it is uniting people across cultures to advocate for urgent climate action. By participating, you will be contributing to a collective effort in protecting our precious planet.

NEW ISLAND PLEDGE
New Island began to support Earth Hour as a company in 2025. With short notice, our staff were very enthusiastic to participate and to learn more about this event. Hong Kong staff were invited to sign a voluntary pledge online. Our China factories displayed posters on staff notice boards and banners at the staff canteen to encourage voluntary participation. The action was well received.
