On June 24, 2021 – New Island Printing Group was awarded the Silver Award in the folding carton category at the 8th China Printing Awards.

The China Printing Awards is jointly sponsored by the Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China, The Hong Kong Printers Association, The Taiwan Printing Industry Association and The Macau Printing Industry Association. The organizers established the China Print Awards to promote new technologies, process innovation, encourage and improve level of printing quality, promote technology exchanges and industry cooperation. The China Print Awards is the most authoritative and comprehensive award in the Chinese Printing industry. It is also the only award in the industry that has been officially approved by the central government.

The award-winning work is the Meogeping Beauty Folding Carton. Maogeping (MGPIN) is a high-end luxurious oriental makeup brand created by Mao; a famous expert makeup artist in China whom is well known in the industry for excellent makeup technique, beauty education, makeup schools and tutorials on social media. The box features the art of an imperial styled phoenix in elegant flight, representing the unique charm of oriental women. New Island adopted advance precision printing with 8-colour machine and two different surface treatment methods to enhance the image with visual depth and layering. Hot stamping and embossing were added to the process to further brighten and magnify the images with a three-dimensional effect.
